The ENVI Family is Growing
Less than two weeks after our launch and we already have some exciting news to share: Paul Jordaan –who has created and managed some of the world’s most famous experiential luxury properties—has joined ENVI as Director of Operations.
Paul brings with him an experience that very few in the industry can match: Among his many achievements, Paul was the general manager of 5 Aman resorts in India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. He then went on to operate the Six Senses resorts in Vietnam and Oman. His experience includes opening a safari lodge in Zanzibar, managing Point Grace in Turks & Caicos Islands and The Slate in Thailand, and being director of operations of several lodges and luxury estates in New Zealand and Thailand.
“Paul’s career in hospitality is quite remarkable,” said Envi Co-founder Chris Nader. “This unique career path made Paul a perfect fit for ENVI. We can rest assured that our upcoming lodges will be in safe hands”.
Paul grew up in the beautiful winelands of Stellenbosch in South Africa, on a family wine estate where he developed a passion for wildlife conservation and a taste for adventure and extreme sports. It is where his career began, as manager of a 5-star lodge, then hired to open Richard Branson’s award-winning boutique hotel just outside Cape Town.
What else can we tell you about Paul? Well, he is a foodie. He loves surfing, goes for a run almost every morning, and likes to go on adventures with his wife and daughter. He speaks Afrikaans and German in addition to English, and is based in ENVI’s corporate office in Dubai. Fun fact: It is the first time that Paul and his family agree to live in a major city.
“My family and I could not be more thrilled to be in Dubai and for me to be part of this fantastic venture,” said Paul. “The region’s rich history, culture and landscape lend invaluable perspective to those who seek a greater understanding of the world through shared experiences. We've seen our like-minded focus on sustainability, inspire others, and bring people together time and again.”
All and all, there’s only one thing left for us to say (to Paul): Welcome!
